How Much Does AI Cost a Business? An Honest Breakdown, Not "Contact Us"

It is the last week of the month and next month's content calendar is still empty. The 12.12 campaign is around the corner. Your social media admin is buried in DMs and WhatsApp, the freelance designer needs briefs by Friday, and last month's calendar was only approved on the sixth, after a string of voice notes in the group chat. For a brand owner selling on Shopee and TikTok, the puzzle isn't which tool writes the captions. What remains unclear is who plans, who writes, who checks, and what you still have to read yourself.
AI social media content that is fit for a business works like a production line, not a single prompt box. Several AI agents with different jobs research trends, build the calendar, write in one brand voice, check compliance and prepare visuals, then stop at a review desk. There, a person approves, edits or rejects every draft before anything goes live.
Picture next Monday going differently. You open one screen holding that week's queue of drafts. Each arrives with its visual, a per-platform character counter, a brand-voice match score and a compliance checklist. Your job comes down to a choice: approve, edit or reject.
That picture comes from Persora, a content system we designed for social-commerce and creator-led brands. It runs 10 specialised AI agents that prepare 2–3 drafts a day, and 100% of them need human approval before publishing (Source: Persora case study, Agentiq, 2026). Persora is a real Agentiq build. The persona, brand, products, metrics and on-screen data are illustrative and fictionalised for the case study; all screens shown use fictional sample data.
Before it reaches your screen, a draft passes through several hands, in this order.
Two details separate this line from a caption generator. First, the compliance checker is built to hold a draft rather than wave it through: anything it is unsure about goes no further. That matters on an account that also sells, because a post on Shopee Video or TikTok can carry a product tag, so a wrong price or promo period in the caption is a wrong product claim. Second, your edits don't vanish. The system analyses them, turns them into rules and applies those to later drafts.
The work continues after a post goes live. Each post is tagged with 11 performance signals, the system writes a weekly plain-language report on what is working, and those findings feed the following week's plan (Source: Persora case study, Agentiq, 2026).
The title says a month, so let's be honest about the number. The system above prepares 2–3 drafts a day and rebuilds its plan every week. Multiplied across 30 days, our own rough arithmetic gives about 60 to 90 drafts. That is the number of drafts waiting on your decision. Not all will necessarily go live, and the case study reports no outcome figures.
You don't need to publish them all either. In a global benchmark covering 18 industries, the median brand publishes only about 3.7 Instagram posts a week and about 2 TikTok videos (Source: Quid, 2026). The sample is global and may not reflect Indonesia. In our view the slack is the advantage: you pick the best drafts instead of posting to fill a quota.
Writing is only half the job. The other half is scheduling and publishing, and that belongs to a different system. One example is Social Post, an app we built separately from Persora: a post is written once and published to six platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads and Shopee), each with its own caption and hashtags where needed (Source: Social Post case study, Agentiq, 2026). Its monthly calendar can be rearranged by drag and drop and filtered by brand, platform or status. Social Post is the internal publishing app Agentiq built for Olaif. Olaif brand marks are shown with permission; the creator names, handles, captions, product IDs and all metrics are illustrative and do not represent real people or figures.
The feed is where your brand gets checked. About three in five Indonesians use social media as their main channel for researching brands, and use an average of 7.7 platforms a month (Source: We Are Social, 2025). In other markets, audiences have started pushing back on careless content. In a survey of 2,250 social media users in the US, UK and Australia, 56% said they often or very often see low-quality AI content in their feeds, and 50% of Gen Z respondents had blocked, muted or unfollowed a brand or creator because its content felt that way (Source: Sprout Social, 2026).
Labelling rules are tightening from two directions too. Meta may require an AI label on photorealistic video or realistic-sounding audio, and posting such content without the label can lead to penalties (Source: Meta, 2026). Indonesia's communications ministry, Komdigi, told parliament's Commission I in January 2026 that a draft ministerial regulation would require a label or watermark on generative-AI content, with takedown as the administrative sanction (Source: Investortrust, 2026). It is still a draft. Captions and stylised illustrations carry lower risk; realistic-looking AI faces, voices and product footage are where a person needs to make the call.
A team of agents costs more to run than a single chatbot prompt. Anthropic's engineering notes on its own system say multi-agent systems use about 15 times the tokens (the unit of AI model usage) of an ordinary chat, and suit valuable work that can be split into parallel parts (Source: Anthropic, 2025). That was measured on research tasks, not content writing, so take only the principle: a line like this makes sense when the account really is your main sales channel.
The roles on your team shift; they don't disappear. The admin who used to chase writing deadlines now sits in the approval seat, where knowledge of your customers is most useful. That seat cannot be left empty. Set aside fixed time for it, because drafts piling up without a decision are no better than an empty calendar.
